From I-89 (Exit 4 – Randolph)
From Randolph village
Winter driving tips
Take I-89 Exit 4 for VT-66 toward Randolph.
Follow VT-66 W into Randolph, then turn right onto VT-12A North .
Continue on VT-12A N and look for Duclos Road ; turn left onto Duclos.
Drive along Duclos Road until you see Clancy Road on the right.
Turn onto Clancy Road (a private, rough town trail) and follow it up the hill.
Watch for small signs for Owl’s Rooted Castle / the treehouse near the end of the road.
From downtown Randolph, head to VT-12A North .
Follow VT-12A out of town until you reach Duclos Road .
Turn left onto Duclos Road and continue into the woods.
After a short drive, turn right onto Clancy Road .
Follow Clancy Road up the hill; the road narrows and becomes more like a trail.
The entrance to the property and parking area will be signposted near the end.
In winter and mud season, a 4WD / AWD vehicle with good clearance is strongly recommended.
Drive slowly (under 10 mph) on Duclos and Clancy Roads; surfaces can be snowy, icy, or muddy.
If the last section of Clancy Road looks too rough, park lower down as instructed by the host
and we can help shuttle luggage.
Always check your arrival time with us if a storm is expected so we can share the latest road conditions.
If your GPS has trouble with “Clancy Road”, try entering Duclos Road, Braintree VT first,
then follow our directions from there.
